Japan and China’s top diplomats hold first chat since Takaichi’s Taiwan remarks Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said Thursday he had spoken briefly with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, a day earlier on the sidelines of ASEAN-related meetings in Manila.
